Hussein Abbakar - Load Flow Analysis & One-Line Engineer
Hussein is majoring in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power Systems and will graduate in December 2021.
He is interested in Substation Design. He is originally from Sudan. He went to Kirkwood Community College before transferring to Iowa State University. In his free time he reads, watches movies, and spends time with his kids outdoors.
Aisha Alzaabi - Client Communicator
Aisha is a senior in Electrical Engineering at Iowa State University, with an emphasis in Power Systems. She is originally from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. She is interested in semiconductors. In her free time, Aisha enjoys reading and travelling. Her ambition is to work with Mubadala in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Greg Bizoff - Webmaster and Assistant Circuits Specialist
Greg is majoring in Electrical Engineering and Physics, focusing on circuit design. He is particularly interested in semiconductors and their applications in modern technology, which influenced his decision to double major in physics. This summer of 2021, he will be interning with Seagate in Colorado, where he will develop tests for memory modules.
Matthew Pfeiffer - Site Layout Engineer & Chief of AutoCAD design
Matthew is majoring in Electrical Engineering, focusing on Power Generation. Matthew wants to work with grid integration of renewable energy sources like Solar and Wind. Matthew began his undergraduate education at Highland Community College located in his home town of Freeport, Illinois, where he received his Associates of General Studies and Associates of Engineering Sciences. In the summer of 2021 he will be interning for a small company located in Lena, Illinois, called Stateline Solar, learning about solar design, implementation, and administration practices.
Chase Stahl - Secondary CAD Engineer
Chase is majoring in Electrical Engineering with a focus on semiconductor fabrication. He is interested in solar panel design and development. He started his education in West Des Moines, Iowa and made the journey to Ames, Iowa to pursue a degree at Iowa State. His senior year, he got an internship with PowerFilms Solar where he will work with a team of engineers to improve their designs. Julia Zhang - Circuits Specialist and Assistant Webmaster
Julia fell in love with electrical engineering in freshman year at Iowa State while taking an intro to electrical engineering class, where the three-hour long labs were free range, and the primary objective was to tinker around with electronics and just explore and learn based on what piqued one's curiosity.
Currently, she is a senior in Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems and semiconductors. This summer she will be a returning intern at MISO on the Regional Reliability Coordination team where she will help maintain a reliable bulk electric system.
